when did you increase to 2x a day. I still can't get one DD to take more then 5 spoonfuls and I need to try another brand (oatmeal) . But should I be feeding them 2x a day now or increasing consistancy?? My other DD really does well with it...
Are they acting hungry? Maybe try a different type of cereal such a barley (I think that is the other one), mine hated rice cereal, but loved oatmeal. I would try a different consistency first and see if your DD will take more than the 5 spoonfuls and then try a different type or cereal. I didn't start feeding 2x until they were 6.5 months and we had gone through the fruits and veggies.

My DDs are just shy of 6 months and this past week we started to do 2 xs for oatmeal feedings. We use either the beechnut oatmeal or the happy babies brand. I mix it with Gerber 1st foods--be it pears, peaches, bananas, etc.
Like your LO, one of my DDs is more interested than the other. One takes more than the other per feeding but I still offer it to them both. I figure the one who likes liquids more vs. solids will warm up to it with time/exposure. She makes up for it w/ her bottle feedings.
We didn't start solids until 6 months and they are 7.5 months now and moving to 2 feedings per day starting today. Cameron went about 2 weeks not taking more than a couple bites but we never forced him and when he was ready he just started doing it.

we have been doing cereal 2x a day with either a fruit or a veg. I am actually going to reduce it to 1x a day and try some stage 1 meats + a veg. I agree not to feel rushed tho! GL!
