Anyone have ideas for twin 1st birthday party?

DS says they need a stroller cake since they spend so much time in the stroller.  I'm just not sure about that.....lol

I want something non-character, bright, fun.  (and most of you know it's boy/girl twins)It will be Labor Day weekend, at our house.  I think it will probably be late afternoon, more or less just incorporated into a cookout that lasts well into the evening. 

 My only idea so far is  Bugs/Butterflies....but definitely not sold on that idea?  I usually just do bits of themes...using lots of solid color paper items. 

So....brainstorm away!

How about a small theme with Dr Seuss? You could do "thing 1" & "thing 2". And decorate with primary colors.

Both of those ideas are so cute! 

I went to a cute bug party where the kids made those dirt cups with gummy worms in them and they were given butterfly nets and magnifying glasses as favors, so cute!

I did a luau for my son's first birthday.  It was a blast.  I did this because I got PG in Hawaii with him and it was July so it fit the summer BBQ time of year.  I did a really cool tiki hut over the food table and decorated in aqua and purple hawaiian flowers printed things everywhere.  Everyone loved it.  I even cooked Hawaiian food for 45 people complete with mac n cheese with palm tree shaped pasta for the kids.  It was a blast!
