Court Date!!!

We got our first assigned court date in Ethiopia. May 20th!!!! I am beyond excited. I know it's rare to pass on the first date, but a girl can pray, right??

 

We will be one of the very last families with our agency who are getting in under the one-trip rule. I am so relieved.

I read this on your blog yesterday - such great news!!! Hopefully all your paperwork is in before then, electricity stays on, etc. and that you pass on May 20th! How exciting!

We also found out we will most likely only need to make one trip and will, like you, be one of the very last families to make it in under the one-trip rule. We are still waiting on our court date though - hope to know soon.

Did your agency give you a date of when you may end up traveling if you pass on the 20th? Late June? Our agency told us to expect to travel in early July! Eek! Do you have everything ready? Again, congrats!

No, no idea on when we'll travel, they just said generally 6-8 weeks after passing court. They only get 20 Visa appointment slots a month, so sometimes we won't find out until 2-3 weeks before travel which travel group we will be in.

 

I am so excited, yet feel SO unprepared. We sat down today to talk about what vaccines to get (we're getting Yellow Fever and Malaria meds) so I need to get that worked out.  I think I have everything bought for her that I "need" right now.

 

Thinking of doing breastfeeding...need to get to work on that if I'm goin to!
