Update on my niece

My niece has an abnormality that basically points to a form of epilepsy.  It's relatively good news, all things considered.  It is treatable by medication, and she will most likely outgrow it. 

 

We are very, very relieved to have a diagnosis and plan.  I think it would honestly be worse if they had said "we don't know why she had these seizures, or whether it will happen again."

 

Dell Children's here in Austin was so, so amazing.  God forbid any of us should ever need their services, our kids could not be in better hands.  Truly top notch!

Oh I'm so glad. Her parents must be relieved to at least have some answers! I hope things keep getting better

I am so glad they have diagnosed the problem and that she might outgrow it.  I will continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

that is FANTASTIC news, relatively-speaking!  hopefully with the right meds, they can get everything under control and she'll eventually outgrow it!
