Question about IUDs... (TMI)

For those of you who have had an IUD inserted, how long did you spot after you had it done? 

I spotted for about four days after I had mine inserted. (So last Tuesday, Wed, Thurs and Fri I spotted.) Today, I was out and about with my mom, and I had that feeling like I was "leaking", so I thought I was just having discharge. Nope... it was blood. Not a ton, but enough to ruin my underwear. I am just trying to figure out if this is still from my IUD insertion or if I'm maybe getting my first PP period??

My OB said you can spot for 6 months...even longer with the mini-pill....

I had mild-heavy spotting for about 2 weeks, now I have light spotting sometimes after intercourse..
