IVF and spotting (saiw)

I am doing my first IVF and I am 8dp2dt and I spotted a tiny bit this morning. Is this normal, bad/good? I don't have much hope.  I always get AF 14dpo, but do you get AF being on progesterone suppositories or does it come when you stop taking them? I actually tested this morning, but I don't know why.  I am early and I don't feel pregnant.  Now I am just in a depressed mood...i don't know why I do that to myself.

    I just went through this.  Unfortunately my cycle was unsuccessful BUT that doesn't mean anything - the nurses and my RE all told me that spotting during an IVF cycle is so, so common.  Your hormones are being completely manipulated.  I think I heard 50% of IVFers spot.  And it's too early to test!  GL!

    TTC in 2008. Stage II/III endo, Hashimotos hypothyroid, low morph (3%).
    2 cycles Clomid/Ovidrel/TI/Crinone=BFN.
    IUI #1 - 4 Follistim/Ovidrel/IUI/Crinone = BFN.
    IVF #1 - Antagonist w/ ICSI 4/10. 17 retrieved, 5DT of 2, BFN :(
    IVF #2 - Long Lupron w/ ICSI 6/10. 15 retrieved, 3DT of 2, BFFN!!
    Lap 7/21/10
    IVF #3 - Clomid/Antagonist w/ ICSI 10/10. 14 retreived, 3DT of 3, BFP 10/20 but m/c. No HB 11/15/10 - D&C 11/17/10.
    FET - 2 blasts, 1 survived the thaw. Transfer 2/19. Beta #1 3/1 375, Beta #2 3/3 885, Beta #3 3/8 4261, Beta #4 3/11 9005. U/S 3/8 1 sac 1 yolk, U/S 3/16 1 heartbeat 114bpm!

     

    James born Oct. 24th 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks!

    Surprise BFP - Jack born April 28, 2013 via VBAC after PTL at 33 1/2 weeks!

    Unfortunately my experience with spotting ended in a BFN (IVF#1) but my RE told me it is very common for IVF patients to spot during the 2ww and early pregnancy. Many many women on these boards have spotted during there 2ww and have gone on to get a BFP. GL!

    Spotting is normal, especially on suppositories as it can irritate your cervix a bit. 

    You may have to stop the progesterone for your period to come if you are not pregnant, but some people will get it before stopping.

    10 dpo, is still early for a BFP so don't give up hope!! I never felt pregnant, I just never had symptoms and pregnancy was not how I imagined it at all!

    I took an hpt at 5dp5dt and got a positive.....a few dayslater i did start spotting for about 3 days....so i guess thats positive right?  and also i STILL don't really feel pregnant, never had sickness, boobs never hurt much etc...so hang in there!  You're still in the game
    1 chemical and 1 loss at 9 weeks prior to DS
    IVF #1 1/10-transfered 2 blasts- DS born 10/2010

    Trying for # 2 since 2012.  2 failed FETS 1 failed IUI.
    IUI#2 4/14/14-- BFP !!!!! Beta #1 14dpiui= 45 Beta #2 16dpiui= 80  Beta #3 18dpiui= 88 (chemical pregnancy)
    March 2015- Chemical pg

    1/25/16- BFP  Beta1 12dpo = 17, Beta 2 14 dpo = 28.. resulted in one beautiful boy born 9/21/16 :)

    Now I'm a stay at home loving life and pursuing my love of photography!!!
