Sorry in advance for this beating-a-dead-horse-travel question, but can I take snacks for LO through the security check with us and on the plane? Snacks like baby mum-mums, yogurt melts, little crunchies, etc. Just wondering.
Food for anyone (child or adult) is allowed through security, as long as it is in solid form. Liquids and gels are restricted and you can find those restrictions on the TSA web site.
Where'd you fly last time? Fruits and veggies are restricted on international flights, and maybe even some intra-state (I seem to remember there used to be rules about fruits into Hawaii and maybe Arizona? That was a long time ago). Or maybe you just had some really anal person - that stinks!
I've flown to and from Europe and have been able to bring fresh fruits and veggies (yummi cucumbers), but I can't take them off the plane in the destination country.

I was flying to San Frannie from here. I was pregnant and hungry too!
I think CA is uber-anal about fruits being brought in - I remember the huge fuit fly outbreak years ago - but I still think it's weird they took it from you!

Re: Dumb question re: flying w/baby
Really?! I didnt know that! I had my apple taken from me last time I flew...I guess it looked suspicious.
