Anyone else's kid like this?

Dd drives me crazy with all of the laundry she creates.

First and foremost, she absolutely refuses to wear a bib. Rips it off, screams, you name it.

So, she gets food on her clothes. And she flips out, insists that it's dirty and must be changed. One drop of food on her shirt and she goes nuts.

Likewise with her underwear. They MUST be changed every single time she goes to pee. Screams that they're dirty. She often dribbles just the tiniest tiniest bit and if there's one single drop of pee on them she refuses to pull them back up. There are days that she literally will go through 8-10 pairs.

If there's a little mud/dirt in the tread of her shoes- forget it. They also go into the wash. If she gets sand in her shoe while in the sandbox it upsets her.

Anyone else have a kid like this?

  • Nope, Keira isn't like that.  I have the opposite problem, she could care less how dirty she is.

That does sound like A LOT of laundry though.

DS is like that to an extent. Can't stand if he has one dribble of pee on his undies, and has always refused to wear a bib. I used to make him eat without a shirt on, but now he wants to wear a shirt and then change if he spills too much. Dirt and things like paint don't bother him as much. But if it is water or food he wants to change. It would be much easier if I could get him to dress/undress himself!
