we were just at the pedi today and she said once they are eating over 34oz of formula or breasmilk(if you pump) you can go ahead and do 2 feedings. We are going to start sweet potatoes this weekend and he has had rice cereal, so we are going to do cereal in the am and veggie at night. we will eventually introduce a fruit to the cereal
We were told that after doing one feeding for about 4 weeks we could add in a second. We started rice cereal at 4 months. We added oatmeal at 5 months.
Re: When do you go to 2 feedings?
When we began solids, Pedi said we could do 2 tablespoons twice a day.
We do oatmeal cereal (he hated rice) mixed with fruit in the a.m., and a veggie for dinner.
So far, so good.
