if you have a nuk pacifier

does water and soap get inside the pacifier when you wash them? Mine does and I bought it just last week.

It dries off in some hours and then we use them.  I was wondering isn't this a safety issue if things get inside the pacifier?

  • I've wondered the same thing and just try to wash carefully.

  • Yes - which is why I don't wash in soapy water.  I throw them in a pot and boil for 10-15 min each night.

  • i dont wash in soapy water, we put in the dishwasher or boil.

we usually get a minutes use of them before its spit out and falls on the ground.. so i haven't noticed any water inside by the time we use it.

  • I wash them in hot soapy water.  I rinse the water that gets inside the pacifier out by squeezing that part under the running water a few times.
