and my little one decides he wanted to wake up to eat last night!!! He hasn't eaten in the middle of the night since he was 10 weeks old! I'm thinking growth spurt (he's 5 and a half months). Here's to hoping it doesn't happen again tonight!
We recently stated to unswaddle our DC who were STTN and they started to get up once or twice to nurse again. SO irritating going backwards. I was just getting used to the whole STTN thing.

This is what I'm afraid of...except DD's sleep would go from bad, to worse.

I just broke my little one of swaddling and the pacifier game! it was hard, but we did it. But, my LO never slept through the night before, so his sleeping went from bad to worse to good.

Can I ask how long it took until LO was back to his previous sleeping routine?

His previous sleeping was all over the place. Some nights he would sleep solid until 4 a.m., then need his paci put back in. Other nights he was up constantly. It got bad when he broke out of the swaddle (escape-free swaddle) and wake up constantly. he would never get back to sleep. Then we started with the swaddling with one arm out, then tried the opposite arm, etc. We did this for two weeks and decided to take him out cold turkey. It was so hard, but we did a CIO method and since then has started sleeping 10-11 hours straight. Sometimes he would wake up, whine or talk himself back to sleep. Except last night when he decided he needed to eat! We saw a huge improvement even after the first night. But, I know CIO methods are not for everyone.

Not a fan of the CIO, but I have been lucky enough to get relatively good sleepers (until we stopped swaddling) so I can't really talk. I'm going to keep them swaddled for now but will try again in a couple weeks and see how it goes. Thanks for the reply.
