Red cheeks

Little ones cheeks are suddenly red all the time?  I dont even remember them being like this before?  I know, silly question, but I was wondering if it might be an allergic reaction?  Or maybe the heat?

Re: Red cheeks

  • My LO has been doing this too. It's usually in the morning and he looks like I do after a few glasses of wine. They feel SUPER hot to the touch. I talk to the pedi and she told me it was b/c he had fair skin. I'm not so sure I believe her.

  • DD has read cheecks also.  She likes to nuzzle into my shoulder when I hold her.  My pedi told me that it's irritation from the rubbing on my clothes and it was no big deal, just to put some Aquaphor on it.  I do that every few days and it stopped being irritated.

EDIT- I meant red not "read" Stick out tongue

  • My DS has red cheeks a lot now and it seems to be correlated to teething in his case. A friend of mine with a 2 year old mentioned she noticed her son's face was red a lot when he was showing other signs of teething as well.

Maybe it's that? Does your LO have other signs of teething like excessive drooling, chewing their fists a lot, fussiness, etc?

  • Ryder has been teething for over a month now, so that could be it,  I noticed the red cheeks around 2 weeks ago.

    Thanks ladies
