BIrthday party question... Help needed!!

So as you can see I have a long way to go till my daughters birthday... BUT my nieces bday is the next day so we have to plan stuff ahead of time so both girls have a seperate party and stuff... anyway, my concern is my house is way to small for 50 people, and i cant really cut out many more so i need to plan on 50... BUT i cant see spending 1000's on a 1 yr olds party so im wondering if anyone has ideas of a way to do it or a place to do it where it wont be crazy. its teh end of november so i cant plan on a BBQ!

a pot luck?  at a community center or church rec center?  

I mean my wedding reception at my church rec center was only $600 for 80 people (and that included food and cake).  It would be worth looking into.  

And in my old home town they had a community center you could rent for an entire day for $25.  Anything like that to look into?

I agree with PP. Our church has several rooms that you can rent depending on the size or your party and a ful kitchen for food prep and all it costs is $45 and that you clean up after yourselves.

Larger parties that I have been to have been at church halls.  Or do you have another family member's house you could use?

I don't know where you live and what the weather will be like, but you could always do a park if it's nice weather around your lo's bday???
