Is this time around easier for you because you've done it before or more difficult because you have two LOs to look after now? I am LOVING it this time around. I hope that doesn't sound bad. I had PPD the first time around and it was alot to adjust to. I was 18, had only been married for a little I've a year and had a c/s. I enjoyed everyday with DS1 but it was tough! DH was in firefighter recruit school which was mon-fri, and he'd leave at 430am each morning and sometimes not get home til 9pm. But now I feel like I can enjoy being a mommy so much more. It feels easier and I love watching my son play with his little brother. He even talks baby talk to him. Haha. They play in the tub together too. I'm so happy I didn't have to deal with ppd again this time around.
Re: Question for second time mommies.
Things have been much easier this time around (excluding the first 20 wks of the second pregnancy - I had migraines practically nonstop). But I think that's b/c the labor, delivery, and recovery were so much easier, not to mention the fact that she STTN a lot already - DS STILL doesn't sleep through the night. So I feel a little more rested and more like myself faster than I did before.
Don't get me wrong, it's probably more of a struggle to find a balance for a lot of things now. We're still figuring out our morning routine now that I'm back at work and I'm not looking forward to when DH goes OOT for work in a couple of weeks.
So physically and mentally, for me, things are easier this time around. But I feel like I have a lot less time - in general - for me, each kid, DH, cleaning, eating, working out, etc.
I LOVE having 2 kids! The baby stuff is easier since I know what I am doing, but I think it is more of challenge to get other things done. But the days are a lot more fun and I feel like I am a better mom since having the 2nd baby.
