LO has been sleeping through the night since, about 2 months. I should say HAD been...... the last week he's been waking up around 2 or 3 again for a full bottle. Any ideas why this might be happening and what I can do to stop it? DH and I are exhuasted. He's been kinda stuffy for about a week, but other than that he seems fine. We've been doing rice cereal consistently for about a week now.
Re: not sttn anymore?
My DS started STTN at 6 weeks, then recently regressed about a week ago and now gets up once, sometimes twice at night. Sleep regression is normal-just because they STTN at a young age doesn't mean it lasts. It's common around the 4 month mark.
Unless you believe in sleep training, there's really nothing you can do to stop it. It's a phase, and it's tough to say how long it will last.
Sorry, I didn't mean to play the "woe is me" card just because LO is waking up once....I know we still have it pretty good. I just didn't sleep well last night to begin with, then LO was awake at 2 and again at 4:45. and I have really bad allergies today, which made it all seem worse. HOWEVER, I know that there are lots of mommies (like you) who are much tougher than I am
I guess I have to count my blessings rather than focusing on the rough stuff....don't we all every once in a while
Its ok! I know its hard getting up. I felt really lucky when she was only getting up once a night because i saw all the other post of moms getting up multiple times a night. We just quit swaddling her so i think thats why she is so fussy. I'm starting to see double. I maybe got one consecutive hour of sleep last night (not exaggerating). I never thought i'd be a mom to let LO CIO but i didn't know what else to do.
Babies are always growing and developing so their sleep will be interupted. Hopefully your LO returns to their routine soon!
