Babies: 3 - 6 Months

What stage of your child's life are you most dreading?

Yes every stage is magical blah blah blah. But what are you secretly dreading? I can deal with the puberty/sex/I've discovered my penis & no drinking high school stuff but when DS starts loosing teeth I may run away for a few years. NOTHING grosses me out more than dangling loose teeth. I hated when I went through that stage as a kid. What are you NOT looking forward to?

Re: What stage of your child's life are you most dreading?

  • I honestly hadn't thought about it, I've still got my head in the clouds, her screaming toddler years...can't wait.  I guess I'm dreading when she gets her period when she's still just a kid, I got mine when I was 11 and kids now are getting it at 9.  They still seem too young to get that to me.

  • When she becomes a teenager and wants NOTHING to do with family..My 13 year old niece is going through this phase now and it's sad.   She used to love family get togethers, but now cannot wait to leave and hang out with her friends...understandable, but still sad.
  • potty training!!!!  going to kindergarten ...........then middle school dances followed by prom!!!
  • Right now I'm not looking forward to teething. But later on, I think I am dreading the stage where she'll test me at every turn. I guess that's when they are 2 or 3...just not looking forward to that part...

  • Oh, only age 13-19 Wink
  • I am currently in it! I can't wait until he is 8-9 months old and is out of this "infant" stage, it is completely nerve wracking to me!

  • The teenage years, for sure. I know I was a pretty good kid, but I was still a huge PITA when I was like 12-16.
  • High school!  Kids are so cruel at that age.
  • I can totally deal with the "I hate you" teenage phase and puberty.  No problem there.  I am dreading the terrible two's and potty training though!!

  • I dread age 11-14 or so - kind of the tween years. It's such an awkward time for girls. I was really tall for my age and developed early and was so uncomfortable in my skin. Also, girls can be so mean at that age. Kind of catty and bitchy.  I dread my daughter going through all that

  • I dread the "leaving for college" stage!  I was in the midst of the baby blues during his first week and I was bawling my eyes out just thinking about him leaving......in 18 years!!!

LOL!  Yeah, I just hope that I don't turn into one of those "no woman is good enough for my son" type of moms!

  • I'm dreading age 4!!!! My DD #1 has been a nightmare since she turned 4 ARG!
