Well, so far its only one name. Last night he texted from happy hour that he likes Willem. Not bad, right? Except that our nephew's name is WILLIAM.
I mentioned that they are too close and his response was, "Well, no they are two different names. Its not like they'll get confused or anything."
I can imagine my sister in law would be thrilled. Her daughter's name is Madison so I guess if we have a girl we'll name her Addision.
Re: Stupid names DH picks
Guys just don't get it
Although...my cousin's daughter is Eleni, and they got a big attitude when we announced Alayna as the name. Its too close to their liking. Oh well.

I see your point. It is a common name. I don't know why I feel weird about it, I just do. I was really bummed when we started TTC and thinking of names, actually, because William is my most favorite boy name. I think its so distinguished.
Wolfgang!
Do it
This.
My cousin's wife and I were pregnant at the same time but our baby was due first, and my cousins were so disappointed that we chose to name him Daniel, as that was also their name choice. We told them it was no big deal to us, and they decided it was also no big deal to them, and both boys are Daniels. It's a non-issue.
If you both like Willem -- or even if you both decide you like William -- then use it.
sleeve or axel.
no kidding. dh has been stripped of all naming rights. really, all you have to do is throw a name out to a 10 year old(ish) boy and let him have a field day in possible teasing. we ruled out A LOT of names that way!
