falling asleep question

Do your LO's cry when you put then down at night?? My LO does and it breaks my heart to hear her but she eventually STTN. (Cries for maybe 10 min. at the most)   I can rock her and she will fall asleep in my arms but I know that isn't a good habbit of getting into.

Re: falling asleep question

  • No, and as a matter of fact me and my DH were just talking about how incredably lucky we are to have such a good sleeper! We put her down awake, and sometimes it will take her 10-15 min. but she doesnt make a peep, Just rolls around and stares at her seahorse.

  • I rock her for a couple minutes, just because I want to.. Then I'll lay her down drowsy, she usually wakes up when I lay her down and I let her cry it out, I give her 10 minutes and if she hasn't fallen asleep (which she will 97% of the time) I go in and give her her binky.

  • DS SCREAMS bloody murder!  He's fine through getting his diaper changed, and reading 2 stories, but as soon as we try to give him his last bottle of the night he knows what's coming and get upset.  At times he's so upset he won't eat, and even holding him and trying to console him doesn't work.  A lot of nights we end up putting him in his crib without him eating.  He will usually cry for about 2-10 minutes and then pass out.  He sleeps through the night (about 8-7) after all that drama!
