Went in yesterday for Violet's 4 month shots and she weighed in at whopping 10 pounds 5 ounces and 20 3/4 inches long. You'd think with the fact that we are still up every three hours for feedings that she'd be a lot bigger....
yeah, she was 5 weeks early, but still! We have friends who have had babies earlier who got bigger quicker. She is just so petit. I love when the nurses quiz you about how you are feeding your baby- yup, we are totally putting the baby on a diet, come on nurse!
Any one with a smaller baby?
Re: I think I may have the smallest baby on this board
I bet she's beautiful, though! Was she very small at birth? My DS1 was 5 weeks early, but he weighed 6 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 inches, so essentially he was full-term size. I think he weighed around 14 pounds at his 4 month check up. He's still right in the middle--2 years old, 29 pounds, 34 inches.
You don't want to know how big DS2 is now--let's just say he weighed over a pound more than your DD does now AT BIRTH.
I think for a premie, that is still good, no?
We just had DD 4 month yesterday and she is 13 lbs exaclty...but she is also 25 inches long. The doc was a little worried about her weight given how tall she is and has put us on solids already. He wanted to see a nice fat baby which she is definitly not! I am sure your daughter is just fine!
