Etiquette re: loaning clothes

If someone wants to borrow old clothes of K's, but I want them back is it OK to put a "K" or other initial on the tags?

My bff loans me clothes and I put her LN initial on the tags so I remember they're hers.

    I definitely would.

    I can't bring myself to loan out DD's clothes though.

    Well, one of the two people I am loaning to has been asking for a year.  The other one's H lost his job and she is a SAHM and times are tight. 

    Even though I am not sure if we'll have more, it's emotional.

    We put initials in all of ours that we want returned.

    Just be sure to use a laundry marker!

    A friend loaned us some clothes marked with a sharpie.  It bleeds.  Bad. 

    Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
    Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.

     I can't get myself to loan out clothes either. My SIL wanted to borrow all of B's clothes (prior to having Carly) and I just couldn't do it. I have invested too much money and time (making sure they stayed looking nice for #2) that I just couldn't do it. If I had a close friend in your situation I would be okay doing it though. And actually my friend is pregnant (not sure what she is having yet), but if it's a girl and she wanted to borrow anything, I would have no issue with her borrowing stuff because she is as picky as I am and I know all the girls clothes would get TLC. :)

    Totally fine.  No different than when I borrows maternity clothes from a friend and she had her name in them.
