Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Have you switched?

Okay so I'm thinking of switching from Good Start formula to a generic brand like maybe babiesrus or something. Has anyone done this and had any problems? Orion is almost 6 months old he doesn't have any problems with any formula thus far. He goes to the doctor next week and I'll talk it over with her then. But what brand do you use and why? What one is most like Good Start anyone know?

Thanks!

Re: Have you switched?

  • I tried to switch from Enfamil Prosobee to geberic soy. Aidan had an allergic reaction. No way to know but to try!

  • I use Enfamil because I only used formula for supplementing. But my SIL switched from GS to walmart brand with no issues.
  • We switched DS#1 at about 7 or 8 months to Target's version of Similac Advance. He did great with it! No problems with constipation or anything, he actually stayed full longer (instead of eating every 3 hours he went to 4)

I used to EBF, now I supplement and used Enfamil. We switched to Up and Up (Target) and have had no problems.
  • We switched from Similac Advanced to the Target Up&Up brand.  DD didn't have any issues at all.
  • We just switched DS from Similiac to Target brand Up & Up formula. We tried Good Start, but his system couldn't handle it. On the Target formula can it says "compared to Similiac" so maybe there is one the compares to Good Start?

  • I switched my son from Similac Sensative to Target Up & Up Sensative.  NO problems at all.
