then maybe news of her adoption to an AMERICAN baby from New Orleans will make you love her more. I have such great respect for her more than before that she went through the long process here in America and helped a child here. I understand it's expensive and very lengthy to adopt in America, but it really bothers me when celebs adopt babies from other countries when there are so many babies here that need good homes.
Yay Sandra!!!!!

This. I think adopting any child in need is admirable. I don't scoff at international adoption or applaud domestic adoptions more. Adoption is awesome any which way you look at it, IMO.
But I do love SB. And I love that they didn't try to pull any strings with their adoption, they went through the whole long process just as any old person would have to. And I am so glad she is going through with the adoption as a single parent despite her unfortunate situation with the ass.

While domestic adoption is wonderful - international adoption is just as wonderful.

She adopted a healthy newborn baby. It's not like she went through the foster care system and took an older child with special needs who was languishing in the system. She wanted a baby, she adopted one. I'm happy for her, but I don't think she deserves a medal or something for adopting a newborn here.
BTW, thanks to changes in international adoption, more couples ARE trying to adopt in the US instead of going overseas, but most of them, like Sandra Bullock, are trying to adopt infants, not the hard to place foster children.

That baby is CUTE. I want to much on his little cheeks.
This. I think anyone who gives a child a loving home deserves applause - whether the child is from overseas or here in the states. Good for Sandra!
