Moms using the Sleep Sheep

We have a travel Sleep Sheep and he loves it for both naps and bedtime.  As far as I know, and can find on the internet, this thing does not have a continuous mode... just the option for it to shut off at 23 or 45 minutes. 

But then I noticed if I leave the switch in the middle position it still goes on!  I will test it tonight but has anyone discovered what this position does?  I would be super stoked if plays continuously!

I think I have tried that before to no avail, but I may try again tonight. I've been trying to wean DS off the sheep so that he doesn't expect the sound when he wakes up at night, but the rain sound sure does signal to him it's time to sleep!

I don't think it plays continuously, I think I tried it. DS goes back to sleep on his own without it so I haven't tried to mess with it.

I don't think it will play continuously.  Design flaw!
