I have a dentist appointment today to have a filling done.
Gas - yes or no?
The shot that numbs the area - yes or no?
Anything else?
Obviously, I'll talk to him, but I'm just afraid he's going to say it's up to me. Everything I've read online (I know, I know) totally conflicts each other.
Re: Dentist While PG?
I don't have any experience with this, but I'd call and talk to them about it today. I'd be annoyed if I went in tomorrow and they told me I couldn't have the filling done because I was PG.
ETA: I misread this the first time and thought your appointment was tomorrow. I'd still call before I went.
I had lots of tooth issues while PG - had 2 fillings and 2 teeth break - needing 1 root canal. TOTALLY SUCKED as I get so much anxiety out of dental work, but I have a great dentist and it really wasn't that bad. My dentist didn't do x-rays - you should avoid this at all costs (so I'm going back in a month to make sure I don't have any other issues). In some cases they make an exception on the x-rays if that's the only way that they might determine an issue that needs to be resolved. Numbing shot is ok won't affect baby at all. Gas (nitrous) unfortunately not ok.
HTH!
Sorry but have no advice on the different routes to take as far as dental work goes but OMG! OMG! Congrats! I really am behind. Good grief.
Definitely call before you go.
Thanks for the advice and thanks for the congrats! I called, they said come on in. We did the numbing shot and no gas. Thankfully, I stayed calm and dang I'm glad that's over!!
