What would you like for Mother's Day?

I really really want a Swiffer dry vac for the harwood floors. Pathetic, I know, but it would make my life so much easier.

Am I asking for too much?...lol.

  • Loading the player...
  • to either go out for breakfast or breakfast in bed (preferrably go out lol)

have the family do all the housework & cook the meals for the day....in otherwords have a day off.

I also would love to have a new mother's ring...one that would Michelle's stone in it too.

For I must be traveling on now. Because there are too many places I've got to see. -Allen Collins & Ronnie VanZant My favorite verse!
  • Jackson to sleep past 5:30 am and stay in his bed when it is time to sleep/nap.
  • New diaper bag, something to plant in the yard.
  • Mother's ring but that's not happening this year (too expensive)

Cricut Expressions machine (for scrapbooking)....this will most likely be my gift.

To have my camera fixed (my D50 shutter won't open once it closes....probably needs a cleaning).  This might get done in the next week or two anyway and won't have to be considered my Mother's Day present!  :)

    new sneakers.

(I have a way of collecting gifts around holidays....so Joe will say the camera fixing is my gift.  But then will want something for me to open the morning of so he'll get the Cricut machine and say it's from the kids).  and then I'll go a week later for new sneakers.  It's how I roll!  ;)

  • A day where I didn't have to worry about taking care of anyone but myself.  No getting up in the am with the kids, no cooking, no changing diapers, nothing.  Oh, and I'd love it if my husband cleaned my house (like I do every weekend) without me asking.
  • I want new (read: bigger) diamond earrings. But, I'm supposed to get those after I have baby #2. LOL

What I really want is for DH and DS to either make me something or buy something that is really meaningful for mother's day. I doubt either will happen.

  • What I really really really want?  An ipad.

What I more realistically want?  A new lightweight robe.

  • Time alone.

  • What I'm getting myself:  a jogging stroller.  Not because I jog - I'm just SO.TIRED. of pushing my dbl Chicco SBS thru 500 feet of grass to/from DS's baseball games.  Parking sucks, and he plays directly in the middle of about 10 fields.

What would be nice for DH to do:  take total care of the kids for a day.  I will come/go as I please, and he's not allowed to call me unless it's an emergency. I am getting a GNO on the 8th....so I'll at least get a few hours alone!

What he may surprise me with:  Handheld HD camcorder.  I wanted the Flip, but I just can't buy that with no zoom.

  • A body pillow.

    Sleep.

Either dinner out or cooked for me.

  • First, I'd like acknowledgment based on his own free will rather than weeks worth of me reminding him that Mother's Day is coming.  Then, a sweet card would be nice.  Anything beyond that is gravy.  Flowers?  Love them!  Jewelry?  Can't go wrong!  Spa day?  Why yes, please!  But really, MH is slacking majorly in all the holiday, birthday, anniversary depts!!
