Fun to be pg in NOLA

I thought coffee would be the hardest thing to give up but I think I miss the ritual of a nice hot cup of coffee while I get ready for work or read the paper more than the caffeine itself.  Today I just wanted a treat so I picked up a PJs decaf iced coffee on my way to work, mmmm sooo good...so many other good things to have around here, too.  Counting the minutes to lunch!  Only hard thing is the temptation of really wanting to go Jazz Fest Friday, but knowing with the m/s and sense of smell it would be a huge fail.

    I don't care for PJs but I looove CCs and Community coffee at home.  I missed my coffee w/ chickory every morning.  I allowed myself a treat every now and then, but like you said, I missed the daily ritual.

    Shooot, I never stopped drinking coffee. My doctor said it was fine. But I think I did do a mix of half decaf.

    What I missed was daiquiris and margaritas. Sigh.....

    Oh yeah, margaritas (Caretta's especially) and Daiquiri's, it's the perfect time of year for it, too.  I usually have a big Cinco de Mayo party every year.  I have a margarita machine and all, the big 3 gallon one.  Nobody knows I'm pg yet so I'm starting to get questions, when't the party?  I'm getting a lot of pressure to throw it, lol.  But if I can't drink, I'm not watching other people do it.  Even though I usually can't remember much from my party, so it would be an opportunity to see other people act a fool!

    I think I had a pretty good virgin margarita at Caretta's when I was pregnant. :) (But don't even ask at Superior. I'm still bitter over the warm glass of sour mix they served me!)

    I'll have to try that this weekend!  Are you venturing out to Jazz Fest?  DH is following my lead but I'm so undecided.  I really want to go, but it seems like such a bad idea in first tri, especially with the port-o-potty scenario...he's thinking it's better to skip.  Do we get special access pg bathrooms lol?  Then there's all the smells, smoke, and the long day.  Hmmm....

    You are due around the same time that I was....I have to tell you...you MUST try PJ's frozen hot chocolate.  It ranks up there as one of the most amazing drinks I've EVER had.

    I tried it today, it was so awesome!  Me and DH always used to share a granita when we shopped.  Today I got the frozen hot chocolate and he was halfway through before he realized I was "drinking coffee".  When I told him what it was, he was surprised.  Our new shopping drink, thanks:)

    I'm glad to hear that you liked it!  I was completely addicted.  Oddly enough--they don't make it at EVERY PJ's.  Talk about a disappointment.... ;)
