Re: ~*Weekly PG Check-in*~
Congrats to the new mommies, and ((Hugs)) to Jezca M, keep your head up!
QOTW:How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy?
Yes, I continue to workout 4 times a week. Before I got pregnant I was crossfitting 4 times a week. I am still crossfitting, but on a more scaled level. I plan to continue this throughout the entire pregnancy!
Do you have a daily exercise routine?
Not daily, but 4 times a week.
Any changes in your diet?
Unfortunately the only change to my diet has been for the worst. I went from eating really healthy, to eating anything and everything that is bad for me
Question of the week:
How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy? Do you have a daily exercise routine? Any changes in your diet?
This pregnancy I have only put on 8lbs. so far. With my first pregnancy I put on a total of 50lbs!!! I am just not eating anymore than I normally do. I don't exercise, I know I should. I have the worst sciatic nerve pain, so there is no way I can walk for long distances. No changes in my diet, I just don't eat a lot.
And as always, how are you feeling today?
I feel great besides the sciatic nerve pain. It is horrible!! I never had this with my first pregnancy. I am hoping that it doesn't last much longer.
Congrats to new mommies! T&P with JezcaM.
QOTW: I started doing prenatal yoga, but due to medical reasons had to stop doing most of the poses. So...I try walking my dog every once in a while. So, no, I don't have a daily exercise routine. Changes to my diet include following the Gestational Diabetes diet...I actually lost a pound at my last check-up instead of gaining...
I feel pretty good this week. I can feel my stomach stretching from the inside which is a little uncomfortable, but I can feel baby girl kicking like crazy these days! It's completely worth it!!!
QOTW: I'm trying to exercise as much as I can. I've taken quite a bit of time off in my first tri, but now I'm back at it! I'd say my diet hasn't changed much from what it normally has been, but compared to my last pg, I'm no longer eating gluten, due to the gluten allergy I found out I had back in Oct. of last year, so I'm not gaining near as much as a result. I haven't gained much weight at all yet and I'll be surprised if I gain anywhere near as much as I did last time at the end (50 lbs!)
I'm feeling good and overall can't complain. I'm still itching to find out what the gender is. I'll be finding out on my birthday, next Thursday. I could care less about my birthday now, just as long as I find out what I'm having, I'll be happy!
WE JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT WE ARE HAVING A BOY. SO YOU CAN ADD ME TO THE BLUE TEAM!!!!!
Congrats to all the new mommies!!!
I have was slacking on my working out in the first trimester. I am at 18 weeks and starting to pick up a better work out routine. If I could just keep these terrible headaches away.
I am feelig good other than the headaches and I found out the are monitoring my blood pressure because it was a bit high my last appointment. I am praying that ends up being OK.
WE JUST FOUND OUT TODAY THAT WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!! SO YOU CAN ADD ME TO THE BLUE TEAM
CONGRATS TO ALL THE NEW MOMS!
I am feeling pretty good other than the headaches. They are also watching my blood pressure because it was high at my last appointment.
I used to work out a lot until I got prego. The first trimester was rough...I am 18 weeks now and finally getting some energy back to get back into a better routine.
Wow, it feels weird being at the top of the list! Hope you're feeling better, Jessica. How fun about finding out the gender on your b-day, Kristen!
QOTW: How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy? I work out five days a week. What I do varies, but it is mostly walking and elliptical, which is much less intense than my pre-preg. workouts, but very pregnancy- safe. I really enjoyed prenatal yoga once a week, but the class has ended at my gym since the teacher is about to have her baby. They didn't get a replacement.
Any changes in your diet? Unfortunately, my diet has gotten worse during the pregnancy, but I'm making a good effort to eat more veggies and fruit. I definitely eat too much overall, but hopefully that will stop once he's born. I did gain more weight than I wanted to.
Overall, feeling well, but finding it tough to fall asleep and stay asleep most nights. For one thing, I'm very excited and it's hard to doze off when the adrenaline gets going thinking the baby will likely be here soon! Also fearing that my water could break in public, though I know that's rare.
Congrats to all the new moms!
How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy? Do you have a daily exercise routine? Any changes in your diet?:
Working out? That is a negative ghostrider. I go for walks with DH and Rolo when we are all home together, but other than that I haven't been working out. My diet was horrible in the first trimester because I couldn't eat anything, and what I could eat was horrible for me. I've been eating much better lately, but still make the occasional McDonalds run. I was never a big milk drinker or liked yogurt, but now I love both. DH and I joke that I am still below my pre-pregnancy weight. I lost weight when I was sick and I am slowly getting those pounds back.
How am I feeling?: Pretty good! Besides allergies and not being able to sleep well at night I have been feeling much better.
Our Family Blog
Is it totally uncouth and dorky of me to add myself to this list? I don't "feel" pregnant, and I'm not sure it will be "real" in my mind until I have my first OB appointment and everything goes well, but still ... I guess technically I am pregant?
Nestie name: SaraLouiseBride08
EDD: December 30, 2010
Prediction: We're guessing I'll have boy, since that's all that seems to come from the men in DH's family. Not.a.single.girl. Ugh!
Congrats to all the new Mommies! And good luck to all of you who are so close! Jezca, you are close!
Question of the week:
How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy? LOL, so far, yes
I'm starting out overweight, so I think it's super important that I keep exercising.
Do you have a daily exercise routine? I was jogging and doing the elyptical pre-BFP, but now I've toned it down to walking on the treadmill or at a park. I'm going for an hour a day. I read some article about not getting your hearbeat over 140, and anything more than a fast walk does that for me. So until I get an okay from a doctor, I'm going to stick to walking.
Any changes in your diet? I had been trying to cut out Gluten, since there is a good chance I'm allergic to it (just found this out last month). Again, until I see the doctor and get a yes or no, I'm going to defiitely cut it out for now.
And as always, how are you feeling today? Fine. Totally normal still (knock on wood).
It's definitely a boy, so add me to Team Blue!! We were super excited to hear "100% sure" from the doctor so early. I'm still going in every two weeks for sonograms-- even more often if I have cramping, pressure, or pain. He's also having me start progesterone next week at 16 weeks. It has been shown to help prevent preterm labor, so we're keeping our fingers crossed it does the trick!
QOTW: I cancelled my gym membership because I knew I wouldn't go, and I didn't want to waste the money. I'm just telling myself that walking and chasing my two year old is enough! HA! I haven't changed my diet. For the first trimester, I ate what sounded good. Now that I can stomach veggies again, I'm trying to add them in more often.
How have you been keeping in shape throughout your pregnancy? Sadly, I've been doing nothing. I felt sooo bad during my first trimester and then we just moved (and all the chaos that surrounds that), so I haven't gotten into a routine. I'm hoping to start walking with DH in the evenings on a regular basis soon.
Do you have a daily exercise routine? Not even close....
Any changes in your diet? Not really, although I am trying to eat more fruits and veggies. I've gained less than 4lbs so far, so I think I'm still in pretty good shape.
Ahh thank you. I was surprised because all of my dreams I was having a girl. I was fine with a boy or girl though
He was moving around like crazy at the ultrasoudn today. I am surprised I cannot feel him yet!
Congrats on your pregnancy! You never know you may just set the record for the first girl
I know what you mean about not feeling pregnant. I am showing and still thinking..."Is there really a little baby in there?" LOL
Aw, boo Jezca. Sorry about that!! At least you only have until May 4, so not too long!!!
QOTW: ugh... don't remind me. I tried to be good, I really did. With the winter being so hard this year and not being a member of a gym it just didn't happen. I wanted to start walking once the weather warmed up, but then it started raining so much and my work schedule got crazy again. Ugh. So disappointed in myself. At least I only have one more month, but I fully expect to gain another 10 pounds by her due date. As far as eating, I've tried to be better about it lately, but I'm just too far gone now as far as helping with keeping my weight down.
Feeling well, just having a lot more general aches and pains all the time. I think I'm starting to hit that just-get-it-out phase.
Exercise has been pretty nonexistent since we found out there are twins. It takes a lot of my energy/breath just to walk from the car to the office. My diet has been to try and eat better. I have only gained 5 pounds total since finding out as I lost a lot of weight during the first tri.
I am feeling rather large and very tired. We have a set eviction date of June 10th unless these guys decide to come earlier. Right now, just taking it one day at a time.
Congrats to the new Mommies and hang in thier JezcaM.
Married and it feels so good!
Congrats to all of the new mommies!!!
JezcaM - best of luck next week!!
Question of the week:
you have a daily exercise routine? Any changes in your diet?
I wish I kept up with my workout, but no I haven't been. No big changes in my diet. I just make sure I'm taking in enough protein every day.
And as always, how are you feeling today? Feeling much better than last week. I had a couple of really "over it" type days. A couple of good nights rest and taking more time relaxing help me get over that. I feel great again and am enjoying the last few weeks.
Pre pregnancy I was running and doing the shred daily. I still continue to do both. My doctor said the shred was ok, so I kept it up. Unfortunately, I am much hungrier lately, so I definitely eat more than I used too. I have been feeling great since about 8 weeks. The occasional aches and pains, but *knock on wood* feel like I have had a really easy pregnancy.
