DS just potty trained (yeah!) but I have discovered that almost all of his pants are really not appropriate for a newly potty trained kid - he basically only wears jeans and khakis, and he can't realy do buttons/zippers yet, and he usually still needs to go pretty quickly. The other problem is that he is tall, but REALLY skinny. 3T is almost too short for length, but a 2T waist fits better (but still needs to be cinched in a bit)
I am not a fan of sweatpants, etc. Any idea where I can find some pull on jeans, etc. for my skinny guy, or do I just need to do button boot camp with him?
Re: where to find pull on (no buttons/zipper) jeans and khakis for DS?
Me with my littlest.
Children's Place adjustable waist pants come in pull on options.
I also like JCPenney and Kmart elastic waist pants. They're not 'brand name', but they fit him well and he can get them on and off himself.

Could you just loosen the adjustable waist on any jeans he has? (like inside Gap jeans.)
That's what we did for DS. Then he can just pull them off. They end up being pretty stretchy since the adjustable part is elastic.
Target has quite a few styles like this, especially in shorts and summer-weight pants.
My 4 yo still doesn't like buttons and zippers - they aren't easy and I wish more small boy pants just came with elastic waists.
