We always send out about 100 holiday photo cards so we don't usually do portraits. Occassionally I'll frame some nice candids of DD for her grandparents and aunts/uncles, both of our parents are divorced/remarried and we have combined 8 siblings not including spouses. (My brother is a great photog so I haven't had to pay for a photog, before that, we had free photo sessions at work for holiday pics).
Well DD is 14 months so we finally did some pics at Picture People. We decided to limit prints to us, our parents, our siblings/spouses. That came to 16 wallets (DH got one and I didn't!) and various larger prints.
I showed the online proofs to a couple people (dumb!). One co-worker who is pretty close to us and babysits DD occassionally asked if we got a certain pose b/c she liked it. She's probably expecting at least a wallet.
I come from a close extended family so for me to not give pics to my own aunts, uncles and cousins was a tough call. It's just got to be all or nothing otherwise people will feel slighted. But I'm thinking of getting another sheet of wallets for in-town friends (all of our family is out of town, including those who ARE getting photos).
We just spend $150. Should I order more or just stick to the immediate family? I'm also expecting again so we'll be doing this again in another year if not sooner.
Just wondering where others cut it off...
Thanks, Jen!
