need decorating advice...

This is such a silly question,but how many throw pillows do I need for my living room? We have an oversized sofa and chair (https://www.potterybarn.com/products/pb-basic-grand-sofa-select-items/?pkey=cpb-basic-sofas, in the walnut color,which is a warm khaki), and a brown leather chair.

So, how am I supposed to put this room together? 3 brown pillows (2 for sofa, one for chair) and 2 blue (on sofa)? or something else? the blue pillows match the embroidery on the brown ones, and they all look ok in the room. I just don't know how many to get or how to arrange them.. thanks.

I would do one of the brown, with one off white (just plain off white ...smaller in size) for the chair.

Are the brown and blue same size?  Or is the blue smaller?

I would do 2 brown....one in each corner of the sofa.

Resting on top of the brown ones, I would do a blue one (on each side).

And I would get an off white one (like in the chair) to put on one side. 

Picturing just 2 brown and 2 blue on the sofa (in my mind) looks old fashioned (traditional) and I think having that couch with those throw pillows is NOT traditional.

I would want the blue pillows to be a little smaller than the brown.  I would do two brown and one blue on the sofa and then one brown and one blue on the chair.  Maybe get a throw the same color blue to put on the sofa too (on the side w/o the blue pillow) to balance it out.  Cream would look good instead of the blue as well.  Too many throw pillows are a pain in the butt and I feel like I am always picking them up.
