Looking for either a kit to build our own (purchase lumber) or a decent set that won't fall apart in two years. Ideally the set we'd like to have swings, slide and play fort.
wanted everything you mentioned as well as a rock wall. we found a compact one for a good price (lumber included) called the gorrilla playsets congo III. it had everything we needed. we got it on ebay free shipping for 799 after rebated.
if you want to purchase lumber (which we did but then husband decided that drilling and cutting would take too much time) you will still come in around that price.
Gorilla is a great brand, very sturdy. Also swing and slide is good but they are more expensive.
Check out willygoat...they are a good site for research.
Anything from the warehouse clubs are good, but not great quality. I found gorilla to be the best for our needs, price range and size limitations in the backyard.
Hope this helps..
remember...never ever should you have to pay shipping on these sets.
Hope that link works. Anyway, I love that it has a huge play deck and large sand box below. We're going to make a rock wall on the back instead of the ramp on the plan. The lumber was about $600 I think.
Re: swingset rec's?
just did a ton of research on this.
