I noticed you mentioned that you had a surprise u/s at 16 weeks. Is that standard for 16 weeks? I'll be 16 weeks at my next appt.
Dr. K knows we want to know the sex and I was wondering if the big u/s will be during a visit to his office or at the anatomy scan at the perinatal center.
Re: Justine
The only reason we got the u/s @ 16 weeks was because when we were at the office that day I had brought up to him how we haven't had an u/s by him yet. Up to that point my onlyu/s were at the RE at 5.5 & 7.5 weeks and then the NT Scan. His office had not done one yet. Since our insurance covers as many u/s he worked it out so I could do one that day. He had asked me if I wanted to do it at my next appt. which would have been at 20 weeks but I told him we had the anatomy scan before then so he asked if we wanted to do it then
Of course we said yes.
Had it not been for that we would have had to wait for the anatomy scan.
We were glad we got that u/s cause the u/s machine at the perinatal office SUCKS in comparison to the one at Dr. K's

Yes! I thought it was just me, but I noticed the difference, too. Since I had 2 u/s in the same week, I noticed that the one at Dr. K's office was super clear and crisp but the one at the perinatal office was not. I didn't really like that place overall. I prefer going to see Dr. K. I wish all the tests were done there.
We'll see what he says next week. If no u/s, then I'll have to wait until the 24th.
