Test line darker than control line...

Has anyone ever had a really dark test line and a really faint control line? I retested (because I'm paranoid) using a First Response HPT and the control line is really really light. Just wondering if this happened to anyone else. Every little thing makes me a nervous wreck! I can't wait to be out of 1st trimester!

It's because you are so pregnant, the amount of HCG in your urine is pulling all the dye before it can hit the control line.

In other words - stop peeing on things.

The darkness of either line does not matter. You have 2 lines, you are pregnant.

Stop analyzing the test.  You will drive yourself crazy.

as my doctor put it my first time...you can get a line weather its faint or not with out the hcg hormone, which is the pregnancy hormone

Exactly this. I did it just for fun a few days ago. I had to squint to see the control line.

As long as you have a control line and a second line you are pregnant regardless of the strength of either line.  I went a little overboard while waiting for my first OBGYN visit because I was nervous and DH was nervous too and took eight pregnancy tests.  When I told the nurse as she was doing my test at the Drs. she laughed at me.  So learn from my mistake and don't waste anymore money.  Save it for all the baby stuff you will need.  Congrats!!

Mine was the same...all *3* times I peed on a stick.  Because, like you, I was skeptical about this lines.  And all 3 times it came back positive.  Yeah...definitely pregnant.

me too!  did this last week.  also had a darker test line and light control line.  no need to worry...
