I need help with choosing paint colors!

I don't even know where to start.  We are moving soon, and the walls are completely white.  What colors would you use in your family room if you have a beige couch?  What are your favorite choices for a dining room and kitchen?

Maybe go with a very light greyish blue? Or maybe a lighter beige? I have been picking pain colors a lot recently so I know how hard it can be.

I love picking colors!!  We used Smokey Taupe which I love. It's by BM. Our dining room is a yellow-ish gold color and we have deep red drapes. OUr main areas are Ivoire by SW which is a neutral. I like it. It's a warm butter color.

I'm not a big fan of having a different color in each room.  I just have one paint color downstairs.  I have it on one wall in the living/dining room, and on all walls in the family room.  It's Amazon Stone.  Upstairs I have another color for all the bedrooms.  I can't remember the name right now, but it's a creamy coffee color.
