I am thinking of signing up for Curves. They have a special going on right now 30 days for 30. Has anyone done this? I just need some exercise and it is close to my office.
I did it years ago and loved it. I would go on my way home from work and it was a decent work-out and I could get in and out and get on my with night. My trick was not coming home first! I may end up doing again someday if I can find the time!
I joined Curves after each of my last 3 kids were born. After my 2nd & 3rd children were born, I only went for about 6 mos. This time, after my 4th, I have been going 3x/ week religiously since my 6wk pp check-up in Dec '08, so for almost 17 mos now. I love that it's a quick, thorough work-out. I have lost 24lbs since I joined this time & weigh less than I did when I got married (which I thought was the lowest I would ever be in my adult life)! I am at my h.s. weight now (and in better physical shape)! For the first time in my entire LIFE, people call me "skinny" and I can fit into a size 2 for the first time ever. Prior to this, size 6 was the smallest I ever got into. The only thing I do, in addition to Curves (and chasing after 4 kids), is watch what I eat. I eat a high-fiber diet & drink only water or skim milk.
So, I say give Curves a shot....I owe my new size 2 to them!!
