i have a jeep patriot that, while it's in great condition, is a bit small in the backseat. my daughter is 4 and is in a graco booster (the kind that can eventually be backless. right now the back is on, obviously.)
i did the quick math and it looks like i'm about 3-4" shy of what i'll need. my husband has an older CR-V so no problems there.
what do you recommend? i'm interested in hondas, so right now i'm looking at the pilot. no minivans.
thank you!
Re: cars for 2 carseats and a booster?
We have a minivan.
Sorry.
I have a 05 Yukon XL with the captain chairs in back with the 3rd row bench and love it. We bought it used with only 23,000 miles for 18K. We have a 14 and 10 year old, I have the twins in the captain chairs and the big kids climb in the back.
We went on a trip recently and rented a new Suburban with 2/3 row bench I did like it better with the 2nd row bench I put the twins next to eachother and left the end open for the kids to get in back. We took BIL with us who is 15 and weighs 230 he sat in back with my son 14 and they had plenty of room. My daughter was able to sit with the twins on the end and we were all comfy. We drove from SC to Florida about 6 hrs and we survived. We all took turns sitting with the twins. I wish I would have bought a the SUV with the 2 bench seats.
Good luck in your SUV shopping.
We have an Acura MDX and it holds three Baby Trend infant seats across the middle row. I'm not sure about DD's convertible (we don't have a booster yet) as we will have her in the back row.
Steal my kids picture or pretend they are yours, I will find where you live and ship all of their dirty diapers to your doorstep. Promise.
I have a Mercedes GL and it'll hold the two Snugrides and my daughter's Recaro in the middle row. When we move from the infant seats we will have to put someone in the third row.
This decision was (is) so stressful. I didn't want a minivan either. GL!
