My gyno doesn't do OB (is that right? OB is the baby part?) and I don't like her anyways. I've read all these recomendations a million times, but the only name I can remember is Dr. Tara Cherry (cause who could forget that??).
So here's what I need:
South, Central, or West Austin
Not Hill Country OB/GYN
and thanks (MrsAJL?) for the Dr. Cherry rec, she's on my (very short) list right now.
TIA!

Married and it feels so good!
The Blog
I see Dr. Reue at OB/GYN group of Austin. I really like him, as well as Dr. Kish, who delivered C. I also saw their CNM during my pregnancy and she was really nice and their NP, Lynne, is awesome!
ETA: Congrats! I haven't been around all day so I missed your announcement.
I second babs' referral...Dr. Reue is great!
Also...Dr. Melanie Belt is in the same office as Dr. Cherry (upstairs from my work) and she is always very friendly. While I can't speak of her bedside manner I think her personal interaction says something. I see many physicians day in and day out in our office building...some of the physicians I work for even turn their noses up at me but she is always very friendly. Asks how my day is or what not and we're total strangers.
I agree about Women Partners in Health. It's a group of female doctors that office near 34th and Lamar. I like Dr. Nash, but they all seem pretty great.
One thing to consider when "shopping" for an OB/GYN is whether that person will be the one likely to deliver your child. In my doctor's practice, for example, Dr. Nash will only deliver if it's during office hours. Otherwise, it goes to the on-call doctor. So it was important to me that I trusted *all* doctors in the rotation (though I've been told that I won't care who is there once I'm in it).
Good luck!
I've liked all the OB at WPIH. Dr. Yium is my OB, but Dr. Oliver delivered my son and Dr. Nash delivered my daughter. I also really liked the doctor they share call with ( Dr. Binford).
