I guess this will have to be for moms with 5 year olds and up, so you'll have experienced each age. Which early childhood age do you think was the hardest to parent? [Poll]
My oldest is 4, and with both of my older kids, I think 18 - 24 months was the hardest. DS2 has days where he's really difficult, but I still think it was more difficult before he could talk.
I don't have a 5 year old but so far for us 3 was really tough. DD turned 4 last month and I can already tell a big difference in her behavior (much calmer, takes direction better, accepts when told no without debate more often).
I thoroughly expect the teenage years to be the hardest though!
Newborn was the worst for me with DD. She cried every waking moment for 6 months. She's had her moments in the 2's and 3's (and we're just barely into the 4's), but in general, each age has been better than the last.
DS appears to be a happier newborn, so we'll see what that means for the future
The first 9 months were HORRIBLE for me for both of mine. Like, hikerbeth, mine cried for hours upon hours a day. It was unbearable at times. DS (almost 4) is a great toddler though. We have our rough moments, but for the most part he is super easy. DD who is 20 months is alot more dramatic, but I will take that over the hours of crying.

8 is a pain.
12 going on 13 hasn't been a total picnic either.
