Is your DC grumpy after daycare?

Wow, DD gives me such a hassle when I pick her up. Then it's a battle in the car, then a battle at home. Sometimes it's because she's hungry, but not all of the time (if it's earlier than dinner time). Any suggestions on how to break this?

Mine is grumpy, too. I don't have a solution, but I'm waiting to see what others reply. I think it's tiredness.

I don't know about daycare, but my kid is super tired by 5:30 or 6 and unable to cope.  We tend to have a story and a walk and put her to bed by 7.  She sleeps until 7am the next day most of the time (sometimes she will play quietly in her room for an hour or so, but she is done with other people by then.  Does he nap at school, like really nap?  DD hasn't napped since she turned 2, so that makes a difference, but this sounds like a sleep issue to me.

She takes a nap from 12:30-2:30. I picked her up at 4 today . . . total grump. BUT . . . she's not a grump until I get there. She's an angel for them.
