SW Pedi Recs?

Hi Ladies!

I am in a frantic search for a pediatrician and honestly, I don't even know how to go about finding one.  I'm a first time mom-to-be, so I've got that panicky quality to me right now and I'm terrified of picking the wrong one, if there is such a thing!  Ugh.  I would *truly* appreciate any recommendations if you love your doctor.   Also, if there are any docs or offices you feel I should avoid, I would appreciate that, too.

I live in Southwest Austin, but if the doctor you have is somewhat near the area (not as far as Round Rock or anything), and you love love love him/her,  then I'd be grateful to check them out.

Thank you in advance for helping me out!

  • I don't have any personal experience with them but I've heard great things about Dr. Reidy at Schoolhouse Pediatrics.

    Good Luck!

  • I've been extremely happy with Dr. Karyn Collins at Pediatric Junction in Buda.  I know - Buda isn't Austin - but we live in south Austin and I realized it would be much quicker to go south to Buda than north to get further into Austin.  I love Dr. Collins, she's easygoing and she returns calls quickly and personally.  Her front desk people leave a lot to be desired, but I've found that to be the case at a lot of medical offices.

  • we see dr. jolet at southwest pediatrics...their offices are at seaton southwest.  we love, love, love her! she is super laid back and easy going.  the office staff is great and we always get prompt call backs.  we also seen dr. rimer and fyda there as well for sick visits and liked them as well.  i think once a month they do a meet the drs at the hospital.

  • We got to SW Pediatrics as well.  We see Dr. Fasci and like her a lot.  We also saw Dr. Rimer in the hospital (liked her too) and I've also seen Dr. Fyda when V was sick one time and i liked her a lot.  I thought about switching to Schoolhouse as they are very close to me, but I think there's just one doctor there now. I like that SW Peds has four (five?) so we can always be seen.

If you're delivering at SSW, one of the SW Peds doctors will see your baby in the hospital.

She does WHAT, WHEN??  Who ever heard of such a thing.  Awe.some.

  • We go to Pediatric Junction as well and we love them! We see Dr. Lincoln though. She also returns phone calls personally. Unless its simple stuff her MA will return my call and it is usually pretty quickly.

When DS was a baby he had to see a ton of Specialists and every specialist we went to at Dell said that Dr. Lincoln is an amazing Doctor. That made me feel really good!

Pediatric Junction has open houses where you can meet and interview both Doctors. They are in the evening.
