Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

They couldn't do any testing on the tissue

I was so hoping they could. The tissue she took was put into formula and apparently they can't use it in formula. The main tissue I took in wasn't usable. It had been too long.

I'm very sad over that. I was hoping maybe it'd be a piece of the puzzle.

 Now all our chips rest on my b/w.

Re: They couldn't do any testing on the tissue

  • I wouldn't feel too bad about it. Alot of times they can't even differentiate fetal tissue from maternal...so many times the results come back 46XX, which means healthy girl, except the tissue was mom's, not baby's.;

    Say you knew there was a chromosome problem in baby...that still doesn't mean there isn't a problem somewhere with your blood ors omething that doesn't need to be addressed.

    And if there WAS a chromosome problem, you'd probably be very,v ery nervous about that for future pregnancies.

     I guess what I"m saying is that usually bloodwork is the best teller of tales...interesting to see what they find with you.

    I'm trying to make you feel better. Is it working?

    I guess I'm just hoping for answers. My MW said they might have problems with it.

    I'm still going to be nervous though! Lol. I'm hoping they can find something.

  • They couldn't get anything off my tissue either, it had been broken down too long. All they could say was that it was pregnancy tissue. I did some b/w too to test for clotting/autoimmune etc...and that all came back normal. It was a relief and not a relief at the same time. Hang in there!
  • I'm so sorry.  I know you want answers, but I hope your blood work comes back healthy.
