skin care recommendations?

I am pretty sure that the pill is wreaking havoc on my face. Right before AF I break out terrible. On my chin, my nose, you name it. I usually have great skin and I have NEVER had to do anything. It's now awful. I was using a Clean and Clear foam wash but that seems to do nothing. Does anyone have any recommendations for wash and/or lotion? I am not looking to spend alot of money.

 Thanks!

Re: skin care recommendations?

  • I like Cetaphil cleanser a lot.  Its so mild and has never caused breakouts for me.

  • haha! Never thought of that! I will be 37 (yikes) next month. I definitely have the dryness factor too!

Where do you purchase that Philosophy brand?

That's what my sister suggested too.

  • I have the Purity cleanser too.  IMO, it is very similar to Cetaphil in that it is very mild and nondrying.  It feels slightly thicker than Cetaphil maybe.  I hate spending a lot of money on cleansers since they are only on my face for a short time.  I'd rather spend more money on moisturizers.  The Hope in a Jar is nice!

We use Cetaphil, too, and love it. My skin is luckily now pretty good, but DH has issues. Cetaphil works well for him.

And I agree with PMQ. The stuff you're using is way too harsh. It will just breed more skin problems, IME.
