POLL: Help settle a serious debate between me and dh.

Re: POLL: Help settle a serious debate between me and dh.

  • I think each kid should have some quality one on one time with the parent.

  • I don't have the twin situation but I do have 3 kids -- I just ask if anyone wants to come with me and that's who I take -- it might be all 3 kids or it might just be one.

    .
  • DH tries this with the older two but he almost always gets conned by the kids to take them both : )  I don't have an answer for you.

  • Unless they're Siamese, I don't get why one can't stay home while the other goes?

  • Your girls need one on one time too-
  • Also meant to say- your son will probably get one on one time by default- since he is the only boy he may do more "boy" stuff with your husband as he gets older. Your girls probably won't get that one on one time by default as much so IMO you need to work harder to give them time on their own.
  • I am a twin, just because we were born together doesn't mean we are a set, we can be seperated:)  I said only take 1 child.
  • Excuse me GIBS-  I believe the appropriate term is conjoined.  I find you using siamese very offensive and a bit ignorant.

  • I would take one at a time and rotate each time you go somewhere.

Oh please tell me this is a joke.  Please.

  • Yes, GIBS I am serious.  Here is a little background.

If you want to be politically correct, or especially medically correct, don?t called conjoined twins Siamese Twins. That term dates back to a pair of Chinese brothers ? Eng and Chang -- who lived successful, adult lives in the 1800s. They were known primarily as sideshow attractions at circuses and carnivals. So, the term ?Siamese Twins? carries with it the baggage of freak shows and oddities.

Oh FFS.  I almost officially can't take this place anymore.

  • Wow. I've never seen a poll with this many votes be unanimous.

  • I think the girls still need one on one time with each parent, maybe even more so because they are twins.

  • I voted to take 2. Not necessarily the twins but 2 of the 3. I went shopping yesterday and took the 2 eldest and left the baby at home with DH so that he could get some house work done. 3 would be too much as there wouldn't be much room in the trolley for the shopping. I have taken all 3 before but 2 is more manageable.

Anyhoo the one child left at home is getting 1 on 1 time too.....

Ditto this. Whether or not the girls are twins, they each deserve their own time alone with one parent.
