I haven't been on this board much but have seen the posts about Elijah and read his story - and have been again inspired by the strength of a mother carrying her son to birth- knowing he would not survive.
Baby Isaac's story is similar.... and inspired me back when he was born --- his mommy, Stacy, writes a beautiful blog - full of hope and faith... and now photos of her baby girl, Eliana.
Perhaps someone who is close to Elijah's mom can share this blog with her when you feel the time is right... hopefully she can gain some strength and peace in her heart from Isaac's story, and the information that Stacy offers about support for mothers who have had such a loss.
God bless baby Elijah.
Re: A similar story to Elijah's - with a happy new beginning
I was just thinking about her!
Her bumpie name was coolteacher, right?
I've also been thinking about Baby Issac whenever I read about Baby Elijah. I swear I've never been happier for a total stranger than when Stacy had her little girl.
Yep -- she was (is?) coolteacher79. Back in the day, she used to post a lot on the Health and Fitness boards (back when it was "Getting in Shape" on the Knot. man, I'm old)
I agree it might bring Laura some comfort to talk to Stacy -- not right away, of course. I hope someone can pass the info along!
I knew she was pg but had not checked her blog in a long time and went there just the other day and was in tears with happiness to see her beautiful daughter!
I actually went there to post and let her know that I think of Isaac all the time- when watching Yo Gabba Gabba. DJ lance does a dance in one episode called "The Baby Isaac" - and says "do the baby Isaac" over and over while doing it- and it makes me laugh and think of sweet baby Isaac every time.
Stacy's story inspired me so much - and made me decide that I would carry a baby to term if I was ever faced with a similar situation - because her 16 minutes with Isaac touched my heart and strengthened my faith. Elijah's story now adds to that.
I remember her! Oh, that is so wonderful. I didn't know she had had a little girl. That's great.
Sadie's my rainbow baby, although I've never heard it phrased that way. How beautiful.
