When tell DD about DC #2?

Obviously I will wait until I am in the 2nd trimester.  When did you tell DC #1 about #2?

Re: When tell DD about DC #2?

  • Once everyone we needed to know knew... he wouldn't have kept a secret....and we waited until about 12-13 weeks.

  • We waited until my second trimester definitely, and I think it was a few weeks into it. I figured there was no rush.

  • We told her before the first trimester screen/NT scan.

  • Right away - I swear my oldest knew before we did with all 3.

  • We told the kids right about week 12/13.  I carried big the whole time (3rd baby) so it was hard to keep hiding it from others.  I know the kids wouldn't guess from my size, but we wanted to tell them before telling everyone else.  We told them on a Saturday and went to a family function on Sunday where DS got to wear a shirt announcing he was the big bro.  DD got to announce when it was her bro being born.
  • Well into the second trimester and shortly before the big u/s.

  • We told our boys at about 13 weeks, just after the Nuchal Scan.

  • I have my NT scan at 13 weeks and will prob tell her after we get the results which I think is at 15 weeks. We told her last time when I hit 12 weeks and that ended in a mc and that was horrible to untell her.
  • I'm probably the odd ball. DD was the first person I told. She helped me tell DH.

  • I told Jackson first, and he told MH.

But, we don't live around anyone we would be keeping it from, and I have no history of complications/issues w/ pregnancy.

I guess it was a good decision since he's been thrilled and we haven't had to untell him.  Also, like a PP I've been really sick off and on, so it was better to tell him it was the baby and that I wasn't "sick."
