Mine's at 2:30, and doc said fasting was not necessary, but I'm thinking I did for my last one. Granted, I know it would be dumb to not eat all day, but I'm worried it'll make me fail!!
I don't know if you consider it fasting, but I didn't eat past 9pm (my appointment was at 830am) and then didn't eat breakfast in the morning. Even with that, I still failed, haha.
The only thing they told me was that I couldn't eat within 2 hours of my appointment. So maybe you could just have an early lunch around 11 and then have a snack or dinner after your appointment.
I have mine in a week at 1:30pm. My nurse said not to fast, but to mainly eat protein and not carbs or sugary stuff.
I am praying I don't fail just for the simple fact that I can't imagine sitting in the doctors office with a 2 1/2 year old for 3 hours!! OMG! That would be awful.

I was told to follow my normal eating routine - nothing out of my ordinary. If my body wasn't doing what it should day to day, we wanted to know without changing things up for the test. I had a fried egg sandwich for bfast and then ate a granola bar on my way to the appointment (10ish am). I passed.
Yeah, sorta. My appointment was early in the morning (7:30ish?) and they said not to eat before coming in. Afterwards I stopped at Micky D's on the way in to work and got a HUGE sack of junk.

This. I had a breakfast taco and donut that day and passed.
I *think* with Meredith that I couldn't eat within 2 hours or so of the test. I don't remember the details.
With Alex, my midwife said that the syrupy solution they make you drink tends to cause false positives (which is why you'll often see women fail the 1 hour test but pass the 3 hour one), so she gave me a list of foods I could eat two hours before my appointment to reach a certain number of carbohydrate grams. Then she did a a blood draw.
Nope, I did not for either. For the most recent one it was in the morning, around 9am so the nurse did tell me not to eat anything too sugary, she recommended not having a doughnut, but other than that it was fine.
Re: Did you fast for your 1 hour glucose?
