AW: I'm 40 today. . .

Today I am 40.  If (like every single one of my friends) I was done having kids it would not bother me.  My life is really good.  I married a guy more amazing than I could have imagined.  Our families are healthy.  I love my house and where we live.  We travel, we both like our jobs (most of the time)

Honestly, the only reason 40 bothers me is the TTC aspect.  I think if Blue Cross hadn't rejected my IVF request, it wouldn't have been so bad.  I'm feeling so hopeless about TTC because of it. . .

Wow, didn't mean for this post to be such a downer.  My new mantra (not a positive or healthy one, I know. . . ):  "fvck you Blue Cross!"

    This birthday was not a good one for me either so I totally get it. Be a downer all you want, it is your birthday you can do what you want to today!  

    I hope that you have a good birthday today despite BCBS being a*holes.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

    BCBS Sucks...... 

    1 ectopic 3 m/c's prior to 5/05 Un-freaking-explained IF 5/05 IVF, BFN 9/05 FET 3d5e, BFP = Beautiful Baby Girl (lucky pg #5) 8/08 Fet 3d5e, cp 12/08 IVF with PGD, transfer 3, BFN 5/09 FET transfer 4, BFN Hail Mary IUI with Follistim 9/11 BFP; 9/22 confirmed tubal/MTX 4/10 FET 3d5e, BFP!!!! m/c 5/26/10 1 year break and yet another m/c 5/11 FET #5 initial beat 121, second beta 7 Lap and removal of L tube and very mild endo 7/11 Suprise BFP 12/11 & m/c @ 8 wks. After 11 losses and one beautiful miracle our journey is over, we are thankful and at peace.

    Sorry you are feeling down on your birthday.  I can understand how TTC is affecting you though.  Anyway, best wishes on your birthday Cake and your new mantra sounds like a good one to me.
    I give up trying to get a ticker.  I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome.  Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself.  Hmmm.  How about...

    Happy birthday! I think your mantra is very appropriate! I am now giving Blue Cross the finger in honor of you. It's hard to stay positive all of the time, especially around these types of dates in our lives. I hope that regardless of stupid Blue Cross that you are able to find some joy in today and celebrate the way you should.

    awww Happy Birthday sweetheart all the same.  You are ONLY just 40 today!  Hey!  This is when life begins!!!!  Don't let 'the man' get  you down!  I am 44 and still holding out that teeny tiny shred of hope!  *hugs*

    Thanks ladies!  You are all so sweet.  I did have a great day.  DH and I had a romantic dinner and a night in a hotel a few weeks ago because he was supposed to be traveling today.  As a bonus, he did not travel and we had a lovely, low key day going out to breakfast and a long walk on the beach.  It was perfect.

     Thank you all for letting me vent.  I am fine, I just don't like being in limbo and not having control over what will happen next!  I did have a great day. . . thanks for all your support!

    Happy Belated Birthday, not at a computer yesterday! Damn Blue Cross, i looked into my insurance, i changed mine to a higher coverage but still not covered for IF treatments etc for 12mths........grrrrrrr!!! Good luck with all!

    I totally understand how you feel.  I'll be 40 in August and the only reason I am remotely bothered by it is ttcing.  I hope its a great year for you.
