What are/were your twin must haves?

I have a ton of "stuff" from DS, but am now figuring out that what worked well for one, may not work well for two.  Are either of these products must haves?

Co-sleeper? We used a single bassinet for DS for about a month and then moved him into his crib.

Twin Boppy?  I do plan on trying to nurse.

What were your must haves?

Oh, and if you can recommend a stroller that would be great too!  DS will be 2 (hopefully) when the twins are born.  He will probably still need some sort of stroller options...right?

HELP!

  • Two bouncy seats.  Its the only way we get any sleep

  • Valco Trimode Twin + toddler seat is really the best thing for toddler + twins... but it's $$$. I got mine on craigslist and LOVE it.  If you can't afford it - you can wear one baby and put the other 2 in a double.  They  make hitch hiker boards- but i wouldn't use until 3 y/o (we are just about to try it out with Griffin who just turned 3)

miracle blankets... angelcare monitors... arms reach cosleepers (we used 2 of the minis)... all things we LOVED.

tons and tons of burp cloths.

enough bottles for each feeding + a few extra (if you end up bottle feeding).

  • Is there a twin boppy?

Definitely 2 boppies and 1 EZ2Nurse. Boppies more for propping babies. Early on mine loved to nap in them.

  • Two bouncy seats and two boppys were our lifesavers!

  • the only thing i really needed 2 of were white noise machines (they dont sleep in the same room) and crib soothers.

i LOVE my EZ2Nurse pillow...they are almost 9 months and we still use it for every nursing session - it was definitely the best $50 i ever spent.

  • I have a twin nursing pillow but hardly used it.  Any BM they get now is pumped, but even when nursing, I preferred to nurse them one at a time.  My biggest "must have" is definitely my Kolcraft Contour Options Tandem stroller.  DS1 was 27m when our twins were born, but he hadn't been in a stroller since he was around 18m or so (he prefers to walk everywhere).  If your DS needs/wants to ride in the stroller, you can put one baby in the stroller, your DS in the stroller, and one baby in a carrier (Moby or Ergo are best IMO).

My kids (all of them) disliked the bouncy seats, they tolerate the swings, but they all prefer to be held.

I also really like the Swaddle Me blankets from BRU, they're great IMO and pretty cheap (I'd get at least 2 or 3 per baby).  We use them every night to help keep them in place (when not swaddled they're all over the crib) and when we need to take their arms away (if they keep pulling their pacifiers out or pulling the bottles out).

  • - DSNG stroller

    -2 boppys

-2swings!! ( this is the only way I get to take a shower lol)

  • My girlfriend said she wouldn't have slept or showered the first year if it wasn't for Nap Nannies.

    2 Nap Nannies! :)

  • 2 boppies

    2 bouncy seats

I saw those nap nanny things, they look cozy but $$$$!  We had a boppy "newborn lounger" and liked it a lot.

Also, 2 cribs.  For us anyway.  Ours only slept in the same crib for about 4 weeks and they slept much better in their own cribs.  And when there was a big spit-up or diaper leak, we didn't have to change sheets in the middle of the night- just put them in the other crib :)
