My DH just called me to tell me that his 18 year-old high school student sister is 9 weeks pregnant. She is convinced that her and the father (also an 18 year-old high school student, who has been in and out of jail since she started dating 6 months ago) will live happily ever after at his parents' house. 

I am deeply concerned for her, and for my future niece/nephew.  She is in no way, shape or form prepared to be a mother. Sigh, I hope everything works out.

:-/  I was hoping congratulations are in order - yikes!!  I hope it works out for the best and she gets a bit of clear headed reality before too long.  Scary situation!

Are there any support programs available through the school/county/state/community? It might be beneficial to her to get some insight from someone (other than family who she's likely to not listen to) and be among peers.
