Yay! Theres an egg in the nest! PIP

Just got home from work and looked and sure enough there is a pretty blue egg.    It wasnt there yesterday.  I dont know why but I find this rather amusing.  

I REALLY hope it hatches.  Anyone know how long it takes a robins egg to hatch?

Here it is.  The light was on in the pic but we are going to keep it off until it hatches and the birds move out.

I just googled.....it says 12-14 days for it to hatch. Where is that nest? I can't tell from the picture.

 ETA: It is 12-14 days from the last egg that was laid. I wonder if she is going to lay a couple more!?

It is in my front porch light.  We have a covered front porch and the lid of the light blew off and we cant find it.  Since we rent we arent allowed to do anything to the light or buy a new one.  So, a bird found it as a nice place for a nest.  I dont mind and cant wait for it to hatch.

Usually about 2 weeks.  Make sure your kids stay away from it.  We get a next of eggs in the tree by our front door and the Robin is so protective of it.  We always have to use the garage door to get in.
